About Our Mission

Documenting the breathtaking diversity of Texas to inspire and drive conservation efforts.

The Problem

Texas boasts a massive and diverse landscape, from the Piney Woods in the east to the Chihuahuan Desert in the west. However, visualizing the scope of conservation efforts across such a vast area is incredibly difficult for researchers, organizations, and the public.

Our Solution

We built the Texas Conservation Media platform to crowdsource visual data. By enabling photographers, hikers, and conservationists to easily upload and tag landscape photos, we are creating a living, interactive map of Texas ecosystems.

Built for Organizations and Contributors

Through role-based access, contributors can safely share their captures while organizations can utilize this rich, AI-tagged database to identify regions requiring more attention and protection. Location data is deliberately fuzzed to protect delicate environments while still providing regional accuracy.
